Savatage is an American heavy metal band formed in 1979 in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Over the years the band evolved from traditional heavy metal into progressive metal and symphonic rock, becoming one of the most influential bands in the genre.

Savatage also laid the creative foundation for the later project Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
