The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here is the fifth studio album by American rock band Alice in Chains, released on May 28, 2013, through Capitol Records. This album marked the band’s final release with Capitol and their second album since reuniting. After touring worldwide in support of their previous album, Black Gives Way to Blue (2009), the band began work on this new project in July 2011.
The album's production spanned over a year and faced multiple delays, partly due to guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell undergoing shoulder surgery during the recording sessions. Despite these challenges, the band completed recording in December 2012, delivering an album that continued to showcase their signature blend of heavy rock and haunting melodies.
