The arrangements are mainly based around the acoustic guitar, augmented with elaborate production effects, multi-layered vocals, and occasional percussion and percussive effects. A CD single was released prior to the album consisting of the album's first two tracks.

In 2015, The Truth became available through Tidal's artist store. In 2018 the album was released through other online music platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and the iTunes Store.
