Get a Grip is Aerosmith's 11th studio album, released in April 1993 by Geffen Records. It featured guest vocals from Don Henley on "Amazing" and Lenny Kravitz on "Line Up". Like previous albums, it included contributions from outside songwriters such as Desmond Child and Jim Vallance.
Get a Grip became Aerosmith's best-selling album worldwide, with sales exceeding 20 million copies. In the U.S., it sold over 7 million copies, tying with Pump as their second best-selling album domestically. Two songs from the album won Grammy Awards in 1993 and 1994, and the album was voted Album of the Year by Metal Edge readers.
Initially, the album was set to have 12 songs and be released in 1992, but it was delayed so the band could add more diverse, radio-friendly tracks. It was also the last Aerosmith album produced by Bruce Fairbairn before his death in 1999.
