W.A.S.P. — The Neon God: Part 2 – The Demise (2004)

The Neon God: Part 2 – The Demise is the twelfth studio album by American heavy metal band W.A.S.P., released on September 28, 2004 through Sanctuary Records / Metal-Is Records. It is the second and final part of the two-album rock opera that began with The Neon God: Part 1 – The Rise earlier the same year.

The album continues the story of Jesse Slane, a young man with mysterious telepathic abilities who rises to power as a religious figure known as the Neon God. In this second chapter, the narrative focuses on his downfall, the corruption of power, betrayal, and the destructive consequences of manipulation and blind faith.

Musically, the album maintains the dramatic storytelling approach, combining heavy metal riffs with atmospheric passages, piano segments, and spoken interludes to advance the storyline.
